2021 CBAA Spring Lax Registration Now Open!

Dear Parents,

We hope you and your families are safe and healthy. Last year was a challenging one to say the least but we are looking forward to a more successful 2021. It is great that lacrosse is back! Registration is now open. Due to COVID there will be a few changes for the upcoming season listed below.

We will NOT be collecting any fees at this time. The CBAA Lacrosse board has granted our families the flexibility of not having to pay upfront until season is confirmed. Payment of $195 (or $160 for grades K-2) will not be due until February 1st. If child has not paid, he/she will not be able to practice. Credits from last season will be applied. We are opening up registration now so that we can start the extensive planning process. We need to know now many players we will have ASAP in order to organize coaches, fields, etc. We also will be conducting evaluations at the end of January for grades 3-8. It is very important that you reserve a spot for your child NOW if he/she wants to play as there could also be a waiting list.

We have also bypassed the US Lacrosse membership verification in our registration form so that you do not have to pay money to renew your membership at this time. However, once the season begins, this MUST be updated by your own household if your son/daughter’s membership is not current thru June 2021. ALL players and coaches must be current with their US Lacrosse membership for our insurance or they cannot participate.

Players will be asked to wear their uniform from past season. We will have a LIMITED number of pinnies available to those who have not played or do not have one. Pinnies will be available to purchase for $20.00.

Important Dates:

January 1st: Registration opens

January 26: Evaluations begin

Feb 1st: Payment due

March 1st: Registration closed (late fee of $20 after 3/1)

Frequency:  For those registered we will have free clinics in month of January and February. Our official practices will start in late March/early April. Typically 1-2 practices a week and 8-9 games from April thru May on Saturday or Sunday. Grades K-2 are different schedule which will be provided at a later date.

Skill Levels: For each age group, there are varying levels of skill. Evaluations starting end of January will help us determine that and place kids on proper team.

Objective: To have similarly skilled kids playing against each other to challenge each for best results.

We would like to thank you for your patience this past year. We are optimistic the season will start on time. PLEASE register as soon as possible so we can get the season started successfully and players can take advantage evaluations and clinics.

Waiver Policy

Waiver Policy & Instructions

Players with NO home program

The current SEPYLA requirement for players who do not have a home program is for those players to notify SEPYLA of their desired Spring Season program. The current steps when registering for CBAA are as follows:

  • Send an e-mail to  oyslax@cbaasports.org with a copy to sepylalax@gmail.com
  • The Email must contain: Player's Name, Date of Birth, Grade, and Home Address
  • Include a statement confirming that they wish to play for CBAA Lacrosse because their home school district does not have a youth program.
  • Identify if the player is a first year player - if they are an experienced player, provide the name of the program they participated in the prior spring.

Players within the boundaries of an ACTIVE program

Any player who resides within another team boundary, and wishes to play for the CBAA, must go through the SEPYLA waiver process BEFORE registering with CBAA.

The formal waiver process is defined on the SEPYLA website.  However,  the following steps outline the process:

  • An e-mail needs to be sent to Steve Lehman, chairman of the SEPYLA competition committee, explaining the hardship and reason for the request to play for the CBAA.
  • There is a $25 fee for the waiver process, payable to SEPYLA.

As a reminder our territory includes all feeder schools to CB East, CB West and Palisades.  If your physical address does not reside in these boundaries, you need to obtain a waiver OR register with your home program.  No exceptions!!
